Getting your children to eat healthy is not always the easiest thing to do! Especially when it comes to eating vegetables. Feed this to your family and they are sure to eat them all up.
Side note: Did you know carrots are good for your eyes? Also carrots contain beta carotene and if too much is eaten you can turn orange.
- Balsamic (optional)
- Brown sugar
- When you buy your carrots keep your time as a factor. If you have the time get whole carrots slice them yourself and save some money. Other wise you could buy shredded carrots, baby carrots, or pre-sliced carrots.
- Turn the stove onto high, add carrots, enough water to cover, and a little kosher salt
- Cook till tender
- Strain the carrots
- Add some butter to the pan and brown sugar stir until melted and starts to thicken (depends on how healthy you want them) If you want to put some balsamic in add a little less butter.
- Once the sauce is done add the carrots and toss to coat.
