This is one of the busiest times of year for me as I travel all over and manage several events. Sometimes I just miss a good ole fashioned home cooked meal… Sometimes I dont always have the luxury of staying in an extended stay with kitchen. Usually I am in a hotel with a sink, coffee pot, microwave, and sometimes fridge.
One of my friends was managing the Campbells tour and their signature recipe was the french roast beef sandwich with au jus. This is probably one of my favorite things about traveling is getting to see the friends you dont typically get to see. Well, my friend definitely gave me the hookup and let me have a few cans of soup.
As I am trying to figure out What the heck am I going to do with soup!? (as I am living in a hotel) I thought hey why not make some french onion soup. So here is my oh so easy french onion soup recipe.
1 can french onion soup
1 small can french’s fried onions (its those fried onions that you use for green bean casseroles during thanksgiving)
1-2 slices of swiss cheese
1 small loaf of french bread
Add soup and small handful of fried onions to a bowl.
Heat up in microwave until hot.
Add swiss cheese on top and heat up again until melted.
Eat french bread with the soup and enjoy! Its like your own la Madeline restaurant…Do you enjoy this blog? Do you find the information helpful?
